August 28 & 29 - Steaming with the Swan, Sproat Lake, British Columbia, CANADA located 8 miles NW of Port Alberni. Built in 1890 the 33' Swan was raised and restored by Art Skipsey. In a recent visit, member Wolfgang Schlager (always ready to start a mini meet) was so impressed with Swan and Sproat Lake that he and Art decided to have a mini meet there. And not by coincidence, the meet is the weekend before the Victoria Classic Boat Festival - leave your boat at Art's place on Vancover Island and return for the Victoria event. Canadian steamboaters contact Art Skipsey, telephone: 260-742-6441; steamboaters in the USA contact: Wolfgang Schlager, email: nw-steamboats@comcast.net, telephone: 360-647-5112.
September 11 - Anacortes Antique Machinery Show, Anacortes, Washington. Featuring steam tractors - but lots of other "old iron" operating. Contact: Frank Orr, telephone: 360-293-3491; email: steam.boat@verizon.net

Contact: Phyllis Blaine, email: steamit@oldtimetech.com, telephone: 408-354-7128.

Launching is at 12:00am (Noon) at the Lagus Park boat launch between Everett and Marysville. A High Tide of 10' is at 02:40pm. You will be able to have your boats on a trailer and ready to go home before dark. In the absence of Dan Martin, Andrew van Luenen and Bob Dessert will be our leaders.
